In the early 2000s Max Thylmann founded a fashion label with a friend. As part of his brand promotion, he ventured into filmmaking to showcase their clothing lines in innovative ways. He also made his first steps in filmmaking shooting riders from the snowboarding and skateboarding scene.
Besides, working for a production company he learned the technical aspects of filmmaking. Gaining hands-on experience with professional film gear and lighting equipment he gathered his skills in cinematography, lighting and editing acquiring the necessary knowledge to bring his creative visions to life.

Working as a freelancer since 2012 Max Thylmann produced films for a varaitiy of industries. Over the years he developed his own style combining modern concepts and using one of his vintage lenses. With every upcoming project aesthetics, authenticity and creativity are key parts of his considerations.
Throughout his professional career he worked with companies like Louis Vuitton, Bogner, VOGUE, Bucherer, Audi, FC Bayern, WMF and many more.
