Lee was born in Bremen in 1978. Already during final school years, she grew dedicated to become a film maker. First starting off as first AD for movie and TV productions before entering directors class at „Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
VITAOne of her first short movies was screened globally, receiving many awards followed by joining the Berlinale Talent Campus, Masterclass THE HOLLYWOOD PERSPECTIVE at UCLA and finishing in 2005 with the opener movie of the HOFER Filmtage that year. Since then Lee focuses on scenic movies, all of which were screened in cinemas nation-wide (to name a few MARIA, IHM SCHMECKT’S NICHT!; MEIN LOTTA LEBEN; RICO; AUERHAUS), winning awards while also succeeding as a screenwriter.
Besides that Lee engages in commercial- and image film for many years and since 2018 she teaches at two prestigious film academies in Germany.
